As you can see all the plastering has been completed and we are now painting, well when I say we I mean Christine!!
So what have we been doing, well, we have had the electrics completed and now turned on. All I need to do is change the lights in the bathrooms to Zone 2's and also put grommets in all the old sockets and hopefully that will be it and it can be signed off. Job done!!
Next I have began to plumb the waste in for the new kitchen, is has to run off a 50mm waste pipe as the distance from the drain to the waste is so long so I did this and it took most of a morning just show that what you think will be easy takes ages!! but Job done!!
I have fully fitted the utility room so now for the first time since we moved in two years ago waste water from the boiler runs into a waste pipe as opposed to a bucket as it used to. The Utility room has in it the units from our old kitchen plus old sink/washing machine and fridge freezer so pleased with the outcome there as I only had to buy a worktop at £30. Job done!!
I am also now just about finished fitting the smoke alarms something I did not realise that I had to do and they all have to be interconnecting and run direct from the fuse box so this we again another job that I was not expecting and again took up half a day but job done!!
I have been spending the last few evening making up the kitchen as it came flat packed so we now have a large number of kitchen carcasses in the living room poor Christine, gets a room back and then I take it over again!!!.
Off work on Thursday and Sunday so hopefully some more progress to report then.
